Neighborhood acoustic tonight. Details are here. [Jackson]

SEATTLE: Our new record, City Lights,
is now available (exclusively?) at Sonic
Boom Records. This is our favorite record store. In fact, Meghan and I once
ran in the Fremont Fun Run with Team Sonic Boom. Anyway, you can find our record there
now. Several DJ's at KEXP have copies
of the record now too, so if you feel inclined to request Racetrack, go for it. [Jackson]

Please get registered to vote. If you're already registered,
check on your voter status, where your polling place is, etc. You have until October
18th to register in-person at the local auditors office. In Bellingham, it's at
311 Grand Ave, Suite 103. And don't forget about your local and state candidates.

SEPTEMBER 23, 2004
We're home from tour! We were out for a month-plus and played as
far south as Albuquerque and as far east as Detroit. While the first week (California) was
sort of weak, the final three weeks were almost uniformly amazing. We got to play with or
hang out with old friends at many stops along the way. I'm going to name Missoula as my
favorite show. Chris and I documented the tour in a tour journal. There
are lots of pictures and plenty of tid-bits to be found there. Special thanks goes out to
our buddy Greg McBride for being an amazing utility man (like Jose Oquendo) for the last
week of tour.
While on our tour our new record, City Lights,
was released. We somehow got that thing from the tracking stage to final product in 7
weeks. It should start showing up in record stores in Seattle, Bellingham and beyond very
soon. Skrocki Records is doing an amazing job
of getting it to radio and into stores. Revolver USA is handling
distro. We are having an official Bellingham cd release party for it at The Factory this
weekend (9.25).
Our tour officially ended with a show at The Crocodile in Seattle (our first),
which was totally great. We may end up playing a few songs there this Sunday
(9.26), as part of a semi-secret, special variety show thing. Find more info here. Keep checking the
shows page -- we should be adding more stuff to our calendar very soon.
Thanks for reading,
Jackson
AUGUST 13, 2004
Our tour is just about underway! We're playing a big kick-off
show in Bellingham tonight at the 3B Tavern.
We've had a bizarre streak of shows falling through or getting cancelled this week.
We're currently looking to resuscitate shows in Southern Oregon, Chico, Chicago,
Milwaukee/Madison and North Dakota/Eastern Montana, etc. E-mail us if you have any ideas.
Our new full-length, City Lights, is a few days behind schedule, but we
should have it by San Francisco. The record will be available through Skrocki Records dot com in a week or so, say
August 20th. We'll be doing "pre-orders" at shows in the meantime. We'll try to
make it worth your while.
We can't wait to get out there,
Jackson
JULY 21, 2004
Our debut full-length, City Lights, is recorded, mixed,
mastered and off to be multiplied! We garnered the support of Skrocki Records at the 11th hour to help
us release it! We're very excited to be working with Skrocki and to be labelmates with So
Many Dynamos, The Revolutionary Hydra and others...
The record will be available around the time our tour starts in mid-August.
The track listing, a new mp3, and the album cover are available below. Further info is up
on the sounds page.
1. Sortie [Come and Gone]
2. Do Your Homework
3. One Step Forward

Speaking of tour, the first batch of dates for our tour are now up on the shows
page. We're going to be out for about a month between August 12 and September 13-14.
Thanks for checking back in with us!

JUNE 26, 2004
We're off to Seattle today to record our album! We'll in be in
the studio with Chris Walla, a very talented and all-around nice guy, from June 27th-July
3rd. We'll have more details on the record soon.
MAY 23, 2004
Just a quick update... Our on-air performance from KEXP, which happened last night, can be streamed
online if you follow this link [5/22/04;
8pm]. We played an unnamed new song and a handful of our other favorites. It was a lot of
fun.
Tickets for the Built To Spill show can be purchased through the PAC Box Office.
MAY 12, 2004
Hello and greetings,
How's everyone doing? Things are busy on the Racetrack front... We've been
laying low from the live shows the past month to finish a record.
We just finished up three songs in the last little stretch. We're going to start
demoing out our record this weekend. The process should be similar to what we did to
record "Do
Your Homework" back in January. Check out that MP3, if you've haven't
already. At the end of June, we'll be recording for "real" with Chris Walla, a
very talented and all-around nice guy. We couldn't be more excited.
We'll be playing live on KEXP on
Saturday, May 22nd at 8pm. KEXP is what I consider to be one of the best
stations in the country. If you live in Seattle, obviously tune in to 90.3 (91.7 in Tacoma
and Olympia). Out of towners can stream live through Itunes, MP3, Real,
or Windows Media. This should be a blast!
If you want to see us in person, we'll be opening for Built To Spill at the Viking Union at Western Washington University
on Friday, May 28. The Americas,
buddies of ours from Chico, CA, are playing as well. Check the shows page for ticket info.
There are others exciting things on the front as well... One of them being a summer
tour in August and September, which we are currently booking. We're hoping to hit many of
the places we hit last time, plus a little of the SW and the Eastern Midwest. Is there
such thing as the Eastern Midwest?
As always, thanks for checking back in with us.
